The Crime Branch of Delhi Police had registered a case against Pooja under forgery, fraud, IT Act and Disability Act.

Pooja Khedkar became IAS by showing fake OBC certificate

Pooja had shown a fake certificate of OBC category to get into the UPSC quota even though she is a creamy layer OBC. According to this, the families whose annual income is above Rs 8 lakh are kept in the category of Creamy Layer OBC. There is no quota in UPSC for creamy layer OBC. Recently, when his father contested the Lok Sabha elections, it came to light that his actual income was much more than Rs 8 lakh. When details of Dilip Khedkar’s income were found during the elections, it was found that his entire family is a billionaire and comes in the creamy layer OBC. After this it came to light that Pooja Khedkar is not normal but a creamy layer OBC.

Locomotor disability in knee, weak eyesight… every certificate of Pooja Khedkar is fake

When investigation was conducted after Pooja Khedkar became IAS, more layers of lies were revealed. Pooja Khedkar had shown false certificate of not only being OBC but also being physically handicapped in UPSC. Pooja Khedkar had said in UPSC that she had mental problems and weak eyesight. Apart from this, there was also talk of locomotor disability in the left knee. Regarding mental problem, he told that he cannot remember things. There is a regular disabled quota for such students in UPSC.

Pooja Khedkar did not come for medical exam

After this, UPSC decided to get Pooja investigated in AIIMS. UPSC considers only the reports of government hospitals. UPSC wanted to confirm through this report that Pooja really has mental illness and her eyesight is weak. UPSC took a total of six appointments from doctors at AIIMS for Pooja’s medical test, but you will be surprised to know that Pooja avoided the test by making excuses every time. When the investigation was done, Pooja’s mental certificate was also found to be fake.

Can’t become IAS without fake certificate

After these things came to light in the investigation, Pooja Khedkar’s case started gaining momentum. Meanwhile, a photo of his mother started going viral, in which she had a gun in her hand. Pooja Khedkar got 821 rank in UPSC. If she had shown the certificate of normal OBC category and there was no quota, she would not have been able to become an IAS. Pooja Khedkar’s training, which was surrounded by controversies, was stopped on July 16 and she was called back to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie. However, she did not reach LBSNAA till the deadline of 23rd July.

UPSC canceled candidature

To investigate the Pooja Khedkar case, UPSC reviewed the data of the last 15 years. After this it came to light that Khedkar’s was the only case in which it could not be ascertained how many times Khedkar had given the UPSC exam. Because every time he had changed not only his name but also the names of his parents. Now in the future This cannot happen. For this, UPSC is preparing to further strengthen the SOP.
