Kamika Ekadashi 2024: In Sanatan Dharma, Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha of every month is considered very special. Kamika Ekadashi fast is being observed today i.e. 31st July. Kamika Ekadashi is also known as Pavitra Ekadashi. Kamika Ekadashi is the first Ekadashi of Shravan month.
On this day, along with Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva is also worshiped, hence its importance is very high. According to the Hindu calendar, the Ekadashi date falling in the Krishna Paksha of Shravan month is known as Kamika Ekadashi. It is believed that the devotee who worships Lord Vishnu on this Ekadashi gets virtuous results.
Kamika Ekadashi fasting auspicious time (Kamika Ekadashi 2024 Shubh Muhurat)
The date of Kamika Ekadashi has started on 30th July i.e. yesterday at 4.44 pm and the date will end on 31st July i.e. today at 3.55 pm. Parana of Kamika Ekadashi will take place on August 1 from 5.43 am to 8.24 am.

Kamika Ekadashi is considered very special because today Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will remain for the whole day. Apart from this, Dhruva Yoga has started on 30th July i.e. yesterday at 3:56 pm and will end on 31st July i.e. today at 2:14 pm and Shivvas Yoga is going to be formed.
Kamika Ekadashi Pujan Vidhi
On this day, wake up in the morning before sunrise and take bath and then light a lamp in front of Lord Vishnu and take a pledge to fast. After this, place a post, clean this post with Ganga water, spread a yellow cloth on it and install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu on it. Then anoint Lord Vishnu with Ganga water.
Offer banana and mango, yellow flowers, Panchamrit to God as fruits and keep basil leaves in the offering because Tulsi leaves are very dear to Shri Hari Vishnu. After this, read the fast story of Kamika and then perform the aarti of Lord Vishnu. On the day of fasting, chant bhajans and kirtans of Lord Vishnu throughout the night. On the next day of Ekadashi, bid farewell to the Brahmin by feeding him and giving him Dakshina and then eat the food yourself in the Paran Muhurta.

To get rid of financial problems
To get relief from financial problems, light a ghee lamp in front of the Tulsi plant on this day and chant the mantra ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Narayana’ 11 times.
to get rid of debt
In the evening, offer water to the Peepal tree and light a ghee lamp. It is believed that Lord Vishnu resides in the Peepal tree. It is believed that by offering water and lighting a lamp on this day, a person gets freedom from all kinds of debts and loans.
To please Goddess Lakshmi
To please Goddess Lakshmi, worship Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Vishnu on this day. On this day, keep two lumps of turmeric, a silver coin, if not possible a one rupee coin and a yellow cowry in a yellow cloth. Make a bundle of this cloth. Take the blessings of God and keep this bundle in the safe.
