Patwari taking bribe, seeing Lokayukta team, ran in the field, got covered in mud and was also caught

In Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh, Lokayukta police has arrested a Patwari red handed while taking bribe. As soon as the Patwari took the bribe from the complainant and saw the Lokayukta team in front, he ran towards a water-filled field. Lokayukta DSP also ran after the Patwari and caught the Patwari covered in mud. A case has been registered against the Patwari under the Corruption Act.

Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Basant Srivastava said, Premsingh Gurjar, resident of Harangaon village of Shajapur district, had complained. Told that there is 13 hectares of agricultural land in the name of father Shankar Singh Gurjar and uncle Bhagwan Singh Gurjar, for the distribution of which an application was given to the village Patwari Shahid Shah.

For this, the Patwari first asked for a bribe of Rs 80 thousand and when the complainant’s family said that it was a higher amount, the Patwari started demanding Rs 45 thousand. Complainant Prem Singh complained to Lokayukta police on demand of bribe.

After this, while laying a trap, the Lokayukta police got the complainant to talk to the Patwari. It was decided that Rs 5,000 would have to be given to the Patwari on Monday. Under this planning, on Monday, the complainant was given money stained with chemicals and sent to the Patwari’s private office, where the Patwari took the colored money in his hand.

Meanwhile, seeing the Lokayukta team already present at the spot in civil dress, the Patwari started running. But the Patwari who was taking bribe was caught and brought from a waterlogged field.

Lokayukta police have registered a case under the Corruption Act and arrested the accused Patwari. Also, the matter has been taken under investigation.
