Apple has made its entire portfolio cheaper. The company has reduced the prices of all its models by 3 to 4 percent. That means consumers will save up to Rs 6000. This is the first time that the company has also reduced the price of its Pro models. Apple has reduced the price of iPhone 13, iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 as well as iPhone SE.

You will be able to buy these smartphones from Apple’s official store at a lower price. It is expected that soon other retail partners will also reduce the prices at their stores.

How much has the price reduced?

Apple has reduced the price of iPhone 13, 14 and iPhone 15 by Rs 300. Whereas the price of iPhone SE has been reduced by Rs 2300. Talking about Pro models, the company has reduced the price of its smartphones from Rs 5100 to Rs 6000. This is the first time that the company has reduced the price of Pro models.

Generally, the company discontinues its Pro models as soon as it launches new models. Earlier, when phones were discontinued, only dealers would give discounts on Pro models to clear their inventory.

Custom duty reduced on mobile phones

The government has reduced the custom duty on mobile phones and many parts from 20 percent to 15 percent. It is believed that for this reason Apple has reduced the price of its phones. Apart from mobile phones, basic custom duty has also been reduced on mobile PCB panels and chargers.

Currently, 18 percent GST and 22 percent custom duty was levied on smartphones imported into India. This also includes 10% surcharge on basic custom duty. After the new announcement in the budget, companies have got relief from this.

After the reduction in custom duty, now 16.5 percent custom duty will be imposed on imported phones (of which 15 percent is basic custom duty and 1.5 percent is surcharge). Apart from this, 18 percent GST will have to be paid. Apple manufactures most of the phones sold in India locally. Only a few phones are imported, which are high end smartphones.
