UP, MP and Chhattisgarh government’s big announcement on firefighters, reservation will be available in police recruitment

Uttar Pradesh Government, Madhya Pradesh Government and Chhattisgarh Government will give reservation to fire fighters. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, CM Mohan Yadav and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai have announced this. CM Yogi said that when Agniveer returns after his service, he will be given the facility of adjustment in Uttar Pradesh Government Police Service and PAC on priority basis. A fixed reservation facility will be provided for them in Uttar Pradesh Police. Whereas Mohan Yadav said that on the occasion of Kargil Day, our government has decided that Agniveer soldiers will be given reservation in the recruitment of police and armed forces.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government will give special reservation to the firefighters. After serving in the army, these soldiers will be able to join various forces of the state government. He said that the youth joining the army under Agniveer Yojana will get the direct benefit of this reservation. The Chief Minister said- I am very happy to tell the firefighters of Chhattisgarh that now after the service of all the firefighters of Chhattisgarh, the Chhattisgarh government will give them reservation. This reservation will be given on priority basis on posts like police constable, forest guard, jail guard. For this, fixed guidelines for reservation will be issued soon.

Taking aim at the opposition parties, CM Yogi said that Agniveer is a good plan but the opposition is misleading the people.

Earlier this was announced by Yogi, later CM Mohan Yadav also announced to give reservation to Agniveer soldiers in police and state armed forces. CM Mohan Yadav said, ‘Today on the occasion of Kargil Day, our government has decided that as per the wish of the illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Agniveer soldiers will be given reservation in the recruitment of police and armed forces.’

Improvement is necessary from time to time: CM Yogi
On the issue of reservation on Agniveer, CM Yogi said, ‘Reforms done from time to time are necessary to establish new paradigms of progress and prosperity for any country and society. Under the leadership of PM Modi, many steps have been taken in the last 10 years and reforms have been made in every sector to give a respectable position to our economy and establish India as the fifth largest global economy.

He said, ‘We need to give equal importance to national security. With this reform the armed forces have also moved forward. Today the Indian Armed Forces are equipped with state-of-the-art fighter aircraft. Defense manufacturing corridors are being developed in UP and Tamil Nadu. The Agniveer scheme has been taken forward to ensure that our armed forces can move forward at this pace with this reform. There is enthusiasm in the minds of the youth. Under the Agneepath scheme, 10 lakh Agniveer are coming forward to provide their services.

Taking aim at the opposition, Yogi Adityanath said, ‘It is their (opposition’s) job to obstruct everything related to reform, progress and prosperity. They do this continuously. The opposition tried to mislead people on this matter. I think we should move forward on armed forces reform considering national security supreme.

Decision to reserve 10 percent posts
Recently, the Union Home Ministry had decided to reserve 10 percent posts in the Central Paramilitary Forces for former firefighters. Although the opposition is aggressive about this. Many opposition leaders say that if our government comes, we will stop this scheme within 24 hours.

10% discount in Assam Rifles
The Central Government has announced to give 10 percent reservation to former firefighters in the Central Armed Forces (CAPF) and Assam Rifles. Under this, former firefighters will get relaxation in age limit and physical test for the post of constable and rifleman.
