CM Yogi has taken strict action in the case of illegal recovery from trucks on the Bihar-UP border in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. After the arrest of two policemen, the SP and ASP of the district have also been blamed and they have been removed from their posts. Not only this, the CO of that area has also been suspended.

In fact, after continuously receiving complaints of illegal extortion by policemen, ADG and DIG jointly raided Bharauli check post. During this time, two policemen who were illegally extorting money from trucks were arrested from the spot. Along with him, 16 brokers involved in extortion were also caught.

After this matter came to light, the government suspended the entire Korantadih post. According to the report, there were continuous complaints of illegal extortion by policemen in liquor, animal smuggling and red sand smuggling on the UP-Bihar border.

After the matter came to light, CM Yogi, adopting the policy of zero tolerance in the matter of illegal recovery, has removed the SP and ASP of Ballia from the post while the CO has been suspended. Apart from this, orders have also been given for vigilance investigation of the properties of CO, SHO and outpost in-charge.

Collection of Rs 5 lakh every day from check post

Let us tell you that during the raid, Constable Hardayal Singh was arrested from the spot, after which it was revealed that Rs 500 was collected from every truck and about 1000 trucks used to pass through there at night. According to this, illegal earnings of Rs 5 lakh were made there every day.

During the raid, head constable Vishnu Yadav and constable Deepak Mishra fled from the spot. According to the information, these policemen were extorting money by using private people as brokers. After the raid in this illegal extortion case, a total of 16 brokers have been arrested so far. This collection was being made from trucks coming from Buxar in Bihar to enter the UP border. Rs 37,360, 14 bikes and 25 mobile phones have also been recovered from the brokers.

Case registered against Narhi police station incharge and outpost incharge

In this case of illegal extortion, a case has been registered against Narhi police station incharge, outpost in-charge (Karantadih) in which a total of 7 policemen have been made accused. The investigation of this matter has been given to the ASP of Azamgarh. After being found guilty in the initial investigation, Narhi police station incharge Pannelal and outpost incharge (Karantadih) Rajesh Prabhakar have been suspended.

The residences of the constables involved in the recovery have also been sealed.
