Kaushambi: Action under Gangster Act against 23 accused who leaked RO-ARO paper, 19 have gone to jail so far

Police has taken major action in the paper leak case in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. The police have invoked Gangster Act against 23 accused who outed the question papers in the examination. Police described Raju Nayan Mishra alias Rahul as the leader of the gang. The accused along with RO/ARO used to leak the paper by breaking into the teacher eligibility test. A case is registered against the accused in Manjhanpur and Kokhraj police stations. Police have so far arrested 19 accused and sent them to jail. Apart from this, the police is searching for other absconding accused.

Let us tell you, on February 15, 2024, Manjhanpur police had detained Ayush Pandey, Puneet Singh and Naveen Singh near Osa Canal. When the police strictly interrogated the accused, sensational revelations were made. The accused told the police that we take huge amount of money from the competitive students and provide them with the papers of various examinations. While the police was taking action against them, the RO/ARO paper also got leaked. There was a huge uproar over this and the government canceled the paper and deployed STF to uncover the matter.

Action under Gangster Act against paper leakers

During the STF investigation, names of 23 people including gang leader Rajeev Nayan Mishra alias Rahul Kumar, who leaked the paper, came to light. Till now, police and STF have arrested 19 people and sent them to jail and search is on for other accused. Meanwhile, Manjhanpur police took action against 23 people including the gang leader under Gangster section. The police is now collecting information about the illegal movable and immovable property earned by the accused. It is believed that action of bulldozers along with attachment can be taken soon.

WhatsApp groups used to leak papers

SP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said that on 15 February 2024, a gang was exposed in Manjhanpur police station. These accused used to issue papers of various competitions by collecting huge amount from the students. When it was investigated, names of 20 more people were found in it. Three had already been arrested and sent to jail. The main leader of this gang is Rajiv Nayan Mishra, he also has a state gang. Action has been taken against the accused under the Gangster Act and they have been sent to jail. The accused used to make the paper viral on WhatsApp group.
