The police have come into action in connection with the slogans of ‘separate from head and body’ raised during the Muharram procession in Kanpur. Police have registered a case against 40 unidentified and one named person. The video of the sloganeering incident had gone viral on social media, on which people had raised objections. The video was described as disturbing and provocative. In such a situation, when this video came to the notice of the police, an FIR was registered and investigation was started.

According to the information, the viral video is from Rawatpur area of ​​Kanpur, where controversial slogans were raised during the Moharram procession. That too in the presence of police. The people in the crowd were saying, ‘One punishment for Gustak-e-Rasool, separate your head from your body – separate your head from your body.’ Meanwhile, someone made a video of this and uploaded it on social media. From where it spread on different social media platforms.

At present, Additional CP Harish Chander has handed over the command of investigation in the case to DCP South. A report has been lodged at Rawatpur police station regarding sloganeering. A case has been registered against 40 unknown and one named.

In fact, on Wednesday, a video of a few seconds went viral on social media, in which many people participating in the Muharram procession were walking shouting controversial slogans. In the video, people are heard raising slogans of ‘separate from head and body’. DCP Vijay Dhull of Kalyanpur circle of Kanpur said that after examining this video clip, an FIR has been registered against unknown people including the main organizer of the procession. Legal action will be taken after investigation.
