Donald Trump arrived at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Thursday evening. Upon entering the arena, he greeted everyone seated in his section before taking a seat next to country music star Jason Aldean, who was criticized last year for the music video ‘Try That in a Small Town’ that he filmed at a courthouse where a Black teenager was lynched in 1927. He was accompanied by his wife Brittany Kerr on Thursday.
Aldean has always been a vocal Trump supporter. While performing at a concert on Saturday, Aldean shouted out Trump, saying, “President Trump’s a friend of mine so I want to send this next song out to him.”
“We all know what’s going to happen come November, so it’s all good. Just goes to show you there’s a lot of (expletive) in the world, and that’s kind of what this song right here was about, so this one goes out to the pres,” he added.
