Donald Trump was visibly blushing. The 78-year-old must be a proud grandfather as 17-year-old Kai Madison Trump – Donald Trump Jr’s eldest daughter – addressed hundreds at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday.
The eldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Pergolizzi is Kai Madison Trump. Trump Jr. and Pergolizzi were divorced in 2018 after being married in 2005. With four siblings—Donald John III, Spencer Frederick, Tristan Milos, and Chloe Sophia—Kai is seventeen years old. Kai was given her great-grandfather’s name.
Among the most ardent supporters of the former president are his grandchildren. They have experience working for their father and have made impassioned addresses at previous Republican National Conventions.
The next generation of Trumps were highlighted at the RNC on Wednesday night. Donald Trump Jr.’s daughter Kai Trump, the eldest of Trump’s granddaughters, gave a primetime speech at the RNC. After informing the audience that Kai had reached him earlier in the week to express her desire to speak at the convention, Donald Trump Jr. presented her to the audience.
Around 9:10 p.m. Central time, Kai grabbed the stage and tried her best to portray Donald Trump in a more sympathetic light. “Grandpa you are such an inspiration and I love you,” she said. “He’s very caring and loving.” As her father ascended the stage for his remarks, she hugged him after her speech. Then Kai sat down in the stands with her family.
Before the speeches on Wednesday, Kai posed for pictures with her parents at the RNC inside Fiserv Forum. Before her big night, she practiced on stage with Donald Trump Jr., as shown in a shot she shared on Instagram. In addition, Kai shared a photograph of Donald Trump raising his fists on Instagram, which has now become iconic, following his injuries from last week’s assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.
