As per The Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the richest man in the world, has decided to donate around $45 million a month to a new super PAC that supports former President Donald Trump. This comes just days after Musk had backed Trump’s 2024 campaign in the wake of Trump’s assassination attempt on Saturday.
People “familiar with the matter” were quoted by the Wall Street Journal. The news arrives only a day after Musk declared, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”
According to the WSJ, Musk has said he will donate to the America PAC, which is run by Palantir Technologies co-founder Joe Lonsdale and has the backing of bitcoin billionaires Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. Cameron and Tyler Winklesvoss each contributed $250,000, while Lonsdale gave $1 million, according to Reuters.
