King Charles III, Britain’s Head Of State has privately wrote to Donald Trump following the assassination attempt on him at Pennsylvania rally on Saturday.
Charles’ message was delivered on Sunday via the UK embassy in Washington, the Buckingham Palace said, adding that the contents would be kept private.
Trump — set to be confirmed as the Republican Party’s candidate in the November presidential election — was hit in the ear by a gunman at an election rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke to Trump on Saturday. He expressed condolences for the other victim and their family, and wishing the former president and the injured a quick recovery.
“I am appalled by the shocking scenes at President Trump’s rally and we send him and his family our best wishes,” Starmer wrote on X.
“Political violence in any form has no place in our societies and my thoughts are with all the victims of this attack,” he added.
