An elderly woman living alone in LDA Colony of Sarojini Nagar police station area of Lucknow was murdered by unknown miscreants by tying her hands, legs and strangling her. The police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. However, it is not yet clear why the old man was murdered because neither the household goods were scattered nor any loot was taken.
Actually, elderly woman Sarla lived alone in the house. Her husband Ashok Kaka has already died. The deceased’s husband was a railway employee. Sarla Kaka has a daughter and a son. Daughter Rashmi lives in Ahmedabad with her family, her son Amit works in a cement company and lives in Gorakhpur with his family.
What did the relatives of the deceased tell?
Sakshi, the daughter-in-law of the deceased’s brother-in-law, who was present at the spot, told that she was not picking up her daughter’s phone, after which her daughter called my mother-in-law and asked to find out why she was not picking up the phone, after which my mother-in-law Called me.
She further said that I had gone to take my children to school. When I entered the house after coming back from school, I saw that the downstairs door was open and the door of the room where she lived was closed. As soon as I opened the door, my mother-in-law was lying on the ground. His legs were tied, a towel was stuck around his neck. Blood was flowing from the back of the head.
What did the police say on this incident?
DCP South Tej Swaroop Singh said that the police received information that an elderly woman has been murdered in Sector F Colony of LDA. After receiving the information the police team reached the spot. Dog squad and forensic team have also been called for investigation. DCP further said that the matter is being investigated and the incident will be revealed soon.
