Heavy rain in Rajasthan remains deadly. Two youths died due to drowning in the strong current of Phagi river in Jaipur rural. Both the deceased were crossing the river on bike. But due to the strong current they drowned directly in the river. However, SDRF and Civil Defense tried to save the youth, but by then they had died.
The incident took place in Mandap village of Phagi. Here on Sunday, two bike riders were washed away in the flood in Masi river. After this, SDRF soldiers recovered only their bodies. The deceased youths are Sitaram and Deshraj, whose bodies have been kept in the hospital mortuary. Apart from this, 5 youth drowned together in Kanota Dam of Jaipur. After receiving the information, SDRF and Civil Defense personnel reached the spot and conducted the rescue operation.

But, no trace of the youth could be found in the darkness of the night. According to the information, due to the recent heavy rains, a sheet of water has started flowing on the Kanota Dam and people are coming in large numbers to enjoy it. To see this, 5 youths living in Shastri Nagar were sitting at Kanota Dam on Sunday evening. Then a young man’s foot slipped. Harsh, Vinay, Vivek, Ajay, Harkesh who went to save him drowned.
The youth is a resident of Shastri Nagar, Jaipur.
During this time, a young man named Raj somehow came out of the water and saved his life. Whereas, Harsh, Vinay, Vivek, Ajay and Harkesh drowned. All the youth are said to be residents of Shastri Nagar of Jaipur. On receiving the information, Bassi ACP, Kanota police station in-charge, Bassi Naib Tehsildar reached the spot along with the police force. At present, rescue is going on by SDRF and Civil Defense team to find the youth.
