A pod of over 60 orcas, known as a killer whale, is seen attacking and killing the 18 meter long Pigi Blue Whale from the coast of Western Australia, described as a fourth recorded example of such a program. The dramatic incident is a Marine Park with a whale watching a whale at a Marine Park on the coast of Bremmer Bay on Monday (April 7).
Pygmy Blue Whale is listed as endangered and is a small sub -species of Blue Whale, the largest animal on Earth. According to a report in ABC, the killer whale chased and ended the Pigi Whale before consumed it. At one point, more than 30 orcas converted to the loan whale that struggled to escape.
Naturalist Charters Whale said in a statement, “When we first ended the battle, for less than 40 minutes last for less than 40 minutes. Blue whale’s fate was sealed, the orkas celebrated with violations and tail slaps.”
“This is the only fourth recorded example of orkas that hunts a blue whale here – an extraordinary reminder of his role as top poachers in the ocean.”
The orkas whale is killing sharks
In November last year, scientists documented evidence that the orkas hunted whale sharks, which is the world’s largest shark species that could grow up to 40 feet. The orche pod was found to be hitting and killing whale sharks in the Pacific Ocean from the coast of Mexico, using a novel and cunning technology.
After colliding and analyzing the media footage collected between 2018 and 2024, scientists found that the orkas displayed a collaborative hunting technique to kill whale sharks. He focused on attacking the pelvic region and hitting whale sharks at a high speed.
Ocras and their feeding habits
Unlike the popular belief, the orkas is the largest of dolphins, immediately recognizable by their unique black and white color. They sit on top of the food chain and have a diverse diet – often consisting of fish, penguins and sea lions.
Their behavior resembles a wolf pack as a deadly pod can contain up to 40 persons. They use all effective, cooperative hunting techniques that make them one of the deadliest beings in the Water Empire.
