A case of blackmailing women with AI-generated obscene videos has come to light in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. After receiving a complaint in this matter, the police started investigating. The police believes that so far more than 50 women have fallen victim to this fraud. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to catch the accused in this case. The accused used to threaten women and demand money by claiming to be a police officer.

According to the agency, college girls in Jabalpur were being blackmailed through AI-generated videos. Money was being demanded from them by threatening them. After receiving a complaint in this matter, Superintendent of Police Aditya Pratap Singh formed an SIT. It will be led by City Superintendent of Police (Kotwali) RK Shiv. It will include officers from Crime Branch, Cyber ​​Cell and Mahila Police Station.

According to the police, this case came to light in the first week of September. At that time, the Government Mankunwar Bai Women’s College management had informed the police. It was said that the accused, posing as police officer Vikram Goswami, threatened the girl students of action for sharing obscene videos on social media and demanded money.

Initial investigation by the police has revealed that the accused creates pornographic videos using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and sends them to the mobile phones of the girl students. After this, he threatens them to implicate them in a police case and inform their parents and demands money.

Where did the accused get the girl students’ numbers from? Police is investigating

So far, two students have transferred Rs 2000-3000 to the accused. Police is trying to find out how the accused got the numbers of these students. Police has registered a case and started investigation in this matter. Police says that about 50 women may be victims of this incident, although only three complaints have been received so far.

Both the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress have protested in Jabalpur over this incident. Several police teams are conducting raids to catch the accused. It is being said that the accused will be arrested soon.
