Know members of Congress are reviewing an election bill?
A Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) has been set up to review the One Nation One Election Bill. PP Chaudhary, a BJP MP from Pali in Rajasthan, will serve as the JPC chairman. The committee will consist of 21 members of the House of Commons and 10 members of the House of Federation. The Lok Sabha also announced its 21 members. Among these 21 members, 5 are lawyers.

Why is the JPC important?
This is a joint parliamentary committee of Parliament that scrutinizes bills and issues. After reviewing the case, the Juvenile Information Commission submits a report to the central government. The One Nation One Election Bill has been sent to the committee.
The One Country One Act is related to constitutional amendments. After the bill is passed by Parliament, the Legislative Assembly and the Lok Sabha can be dissolved based on the recommendations of the National Electoral Commission. After the implementation of this bill, the National Assembly and Lok Sabha elections can be held simultaneously.
After the bill is implemented, the five-year term limit in the House of Representatives will end. Congress and Indian Union leaders termed it unconstitutional. At the same time, the government says it can rein in spending by holding elections at the same time.
