Three people died due to drowning in Ganga river in three different areas of Begusarai, Bihar. Those who drowned include a ward member, a laborer and a student. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took all three bodies in their custody and sent them for post-mortem. There is an uproar among the family members of the three after the incident. Local people have demanded compensation for the dependents of the deceased.
In fact, in the first incident, a young man died due to drowning while taking bath at Khorampur Ganga Ghat in Matihani police station area, while the body of a ward member who drowned in flood waters last night in Shamho police station area has been recovered today. Police sent both the bodies to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Also the matter is being investigated.

Demand for compensation to the dependents of the deceased
The deceased, who drowned in water at Khorampur Ghat, has been identified as 32-year-old Chandan Kumar of Mufassil police station area. He used to support his family by working as a private laborer in the Chandan Refinery Project. There is chaos among the family members after the incident. Local people have demanded compensation to the dependents of the deceased.
Chaos among the family as soon as the dead body was found
The second incident is from Shamho police station area. The body of the ward member who had gone to the fields here on Sunday was recovered on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Chhathu Bind, a member of Ward No. 13, Salha Saidpur Barari Panchayat-2. It is being told that Chhathu Bind had gone to see the fields yesterday, but did not return at night. Today when people started searching, the body was found floating in the flood water. As soon as the dead body was found, there was chaos among the family members.
The third incident took place in Basahi village of Teyaya police station area. Here is Nitish Kumar, 16 year old son of Ram Kumar Mahato, resident of Gangoli village of Vibhutipur police station area of Samastipur district. It is being told that Nitish Kumar was a student of 9th class and had gone to Balan river located at Basahi Ghat to take bath in Ganga. While bathing, he went into deep water and drowned and died.
