Cash scandal ahead of Maharashtra polls sparks political turmoil. Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Vinod Todd has been accused of distributing money at Vivang Hotel. The allegation comes from Bahujan Vikas Aghadi worker. He said Tawde distributed the money at Vivant Hotel in Virar East. Tad and parliamentary seat candidate Rajan Naik brought Rs 5 crore for distribution. Three FIRs have been registered in the entire incident. One FIR has been registered against Tawde, the second against BJP candidate Rajan Naik and others and the third against workers of Bahujan Vikas Aghadi. Vinod Tawde also issued a statement on the matter.
Todd said a meeting was held by Narasopara MLAs. I am here to provide them with information about the code of conduct on polling day, how to seal voting machines and what to do if any objections are raised. Appa Thakur and Kshitij, workers of Bahujan Vikas Aghadi, think we are distributing money. The Electoral Commission and the police should look into the matter. CCTV footage should also be checked.
Found Rs.900,93,500
An Electoral Commission team searched the hotel before Tad issued his statement. During this period, Rs 90,000, 93,000 and Rs 500,000 were received. Some documents were also found. Whether the money was brought by Vinod Todd or belongs to the BJP…it is not clear yet. The Election Commission and the Collector are discussing a probe into this.

Palghar Collector Govind Maruti said that BJP leader Vinod Tawde and his workers were distributing money, as were workers and leaders of Bahujan Vikas Aghadi Similar complaints were made. Just before this, the BJP leaders were busy using money to influence the elections. This includes everyone from workers to big leaders. The Election Commission should attach great importance to this matter and take stern action.

Rs 198 crore seized from Nashik hotels ahead of polls
Ahead of the November 20 Maharashtra assembly polls, Rs 198 crore was confiscated from a hotel in Nashik. Nashik district magistrate Jalaj Sharma said that based on the information received so far, Rs 1.98 crore has been seized from there. The team is taking further action.
