“We will not return from Gaza without destroying Hamas. We are not going to back down from our goal.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been firm on his statement for the last 10 months and without caring for the world, the Israeli army is continuously carrying out air strikes in Palestine’s Gaza Strip. On Tuesday, the Israeli army first attacked Lebanon’s capital Beirut and killed Hezbollah’s number-2 i.e. top military commander Fouad Shukar. After that, the Israeli army attacked Iran’s capital Tehran early on Wednesday and killed Hamas Chief Ismail Haniya and his bodyguard. Hania was hiding here. The Israeli Air Force bombed Beirut on Tuesday, killing Hezbollah’s top military commander Fouad Shukar. Shukar was also known as Haj Mohsin. The Israeli army said in a statement, ‘Our warplanes killed Fouad Shukar, the most senior military commander of the terrorist organization Hezbollah and the head of its strategic unit, in Beirut.’

Just a day earlier, Hamas Chief Ismail Haniya had met with the Supreme Leaders of Iran in Tehran. Hania had come to attend the swearing-in of Iran’s new President Masoud Pejeshkian. Pictures of Hania’s mail meeting with Iranian ministers and senior leaders in Tehran have also surfaced. There is not the slightest trace of shyness or worry on his face. There is no sign of any apprehension that Israel is going to enter the house and kill him within a few hours. Israel is going to launch such a precise attack that Haniya will not even get a chance to escape.
What happened on 7th October?
On October 7, 2023, Hamas shocked the whole world by carrying out a serial attack on Israel. More than 1200 people were killed in Israel in the terrorist attack by Hamas. Hamas fighters took 250 Israeli people hostage and took them to Gaza Strip. Hamas is still holding 150 Israeli people hostage. This is the reason why Hamas and its leader were at the top of Israel’s hit list. To avenge the attack by Hamas, Israel attacked Palestine and killed many commanders of Hamas and Hezbollah. The elimination of Haniya and Fouad Shukar is Israel’s biggest success. At the same time, Hamas claims that so far more than 39 thousand Palestinian civilians have died in Israeli attacks. Israel says that it has killed more than 14 thousand fighters of Hamas and its allies in this operation.
In the dispute between Israel and Palestine, Ismail Haniya was a name who had kept the torch of the cause of Palestine and Hamas burning for the last three decades. In April 2024, Israeli security forces also killed Haniya’s three sons. Haniya had 13 sons. So far three sons, one grandson and three granddaughters have died. Israel had killed Hania’s three sons in an airstrike on the Gaza Strip. Israeli army IDF had told that Haniya’s three sons Aamir, Hazem and Mohammed were going to carry out terrorist activities in Gaza, meanwhile all three came under air strikes. After that, on June 25, 2024, 10 family members including his sister were killed in the attack on the refugee camp. Before that, in October last year, when Israel started wreaking havoc on Gaza, 14 people of Ismail’s family, including his brothers and nephews, were killed. In November 2023, another granddaughter of Ismail Haniya was killed in an air strike in Gaza and the eldest grandson was also killed in an Israeli air strike in the last week of November.
