Washington: Donald Trump, who achieved a historic victory in the US presidential election, also raised a victory flag in Arizona on Saturday. With the victory, he defeated Democratic rival Kamala Harris in all seven key battleground states. The seven major swing states in this election are Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia. Trump swept all seven states. Additionally, many states have been lost to Joe Biden.
Now with Arizona’s victory, Trump’s number of “electoral votes” has reached 312. Outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris has received only 226 electoral votes so far. Let us tell you, Arizona has 11 electoral votes. Republicans swept all states, regaining control of the Senate and looking to retain their majority in the House of Representatives. Currently, the party holds 52 seats in the Senate. The Democratic Party has 47 seats. So far, Republicans have gained 216 seats in the House of Representatives, while Democrats have gained 209 seats. Most numbers are 218. Republicans are confident they will gain the seats they need to win a majority.
Biden won here in 2020, including Arizona
In 2020, outgoing President Joe Biden won Arizona. He became the second Democrat to win from Arizona, following Bill Clinton in 1996. During his campaign, Trump addressed issues such as border security, immigration and illegal immigrant crime. Trump has promised to send illegal refugees back to their home countries. Arizona is the sixth state that Trump won from Biden in 2020. On top of that, Trump took Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin from Joe Biden this year. Biden won here in early 2020.
