Kedarnath seat by-election
Polling for the by-election to the Kedarnath assembly seat in Uttarakhand is underway, with a direct contest between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition Congress party. While the BJP faces a challenge to retain its victory in the seat, the Congress is interested in defeating the BJP in Kedarnath after Badrinath.
