MP News: In Rewa, 3 innocent children left their home after being fed up of their father’s torture. The children travelled 25 kms to reach the city and were preparing to go to Gujarat. But before they could proceed further, the police reached there and after counselling, sent them to the One Stop Centre.

The whole matter is that 2 sisters and 1 brother living in Baikunthpur police station area, 25 km away from the city, tired of their father’s torture, set out to go to Gujarat to meet their grandfather. Neither did they have the complete address of their grandfather nor did they have money. They came to Rewa city by auto from Baikunthpur. From here they set out on their further journey on foot. Meanwhile, a journalist noticed them and informed the police. The police reached the spot, counselled the children and took them with them.

The children said that they had collected the money they had received as gifts. They were very upset with their father. The father beats them every day in a drunken state. The father behaves the same way with their mother too.

Along with his father, his aunt also troubles his mother on a daily basis. Due to which his mother now lives separately, while he lives with his father. She neither gets enough food nor love.

Actually, the case of the children’s parents is registered in the family court. The innocent children said that their father beats them everyday under the influence of alcohol, so they have to go to Gujarat. They will stay with their grandfather, they don’t want to go to their father.

Rewa SP Vivek Singh said that the police received the information about the children leaving the house at the right time. Due to this, the children were taken to a safe place, otherwise anything untoward could have happened. The children have been kept in a one stop center. CWC has been informed about this. The Child Welfare Committee has taken statements of the children through video conference. Efforts have been started for proper resolution of the children by talking to the family members.
