The central government on Saturday appointed Daljit Singh Chaudhary as the new chief of the Border Security Force after the premature return of outgoing BSF DG Nitin Agarwal. In an order issued by the Union Home Ministry, it has been said that Daljit Singh Choudhary, a 1990 batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, will hold the additional charge of the post of BSF Director General till the appointment of the regular incumbent or until further orders.

Sashastra Seema Bal Director General Daljit Singh Choudhary on Saturday took additional charge of Director General of Border Security Force (BSF). Daljit Singh Choudhary, a 1990 batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has taken charge from Nitin Agarwal. Nitin Aggarwal was sent back to his parent cadre by the central government on Friday.
