There is a big conspiracy going on to overturn trains on railway tracks. In the last 40 days, 18 such incidents have come to light, when gas cylinders, bicycles, stones and iron rods were found on railway tracks. This danger is also big because most of the population of the country prefers to travel by train to make their journey easier.
It is not that such incidents of finding such things on railway tracks have happened only in some particular cities or states. Rather, such incidents are being seen everywhere from Uttar Pradesh to Odisha and from Telangana to Madhya Pradesh. Let us tell you about those 18 incidents which have come to light in the last 40 days.
1. August 1, 2024
> A bicycle and a gas cylinder were found placed on the railway track near Lal Gopalganj station in Lucknow division of Uttar Pradesh. Gulzar was arrested in this case, who was recording a video after placing the gas cylinder and bicycle on the railway track. He also uploaded this video on YouTube.
2. 5th August 2024
> Once again, gas cylinders and bicycles were found lying on the railway track near Lal Gopalganj station in Lucknow division of UP. In this case, Gufran was caught, who was making a video by placing scissors, gas cylinder and other household items on the railway track near Lal Gopalganj station.
3. 17 August 2024
20 coaches of Sabarmati Express (19168) derailed near Govindpur and Bhimsen in Kanpur Nagar, UP. According to the train’s loco pilot A.P. Bundela, the train derailed after hitting something. At the spot, a piece of old railway track (about 3 feet long) and an iron clamp were found.
4. 17 August 2024
> HC Gurpreet Singh was attacked with a sword by 5-6 Chahang Sikhs near the Kartarpur railway station in Firozpur, Punjab.
5. August 18, 2024
> Iron rods were found lying on the railway line between Gadha Kachpara near Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Initial investigation revealed that someone had stolen the iron rods from the railway and was trying to take them away, but when he saw that a train was coming, he left them there and went away.
6. 20 August 2024
> Near Prayagraj in UP, an unknown person placed the alloy wheel of a bike on the railway track. Here train number KN2733541 stopped after hitting the motorcycle rim. On investigation, an alloy wheel and a plastic bag were found in the bushes.
7. 20 August 2024
> The dead bodies of CT Pramod Kumar and constable Mohd. Javed were found near the railway station. Actually, when they did not arrive for a long time, DDU was informed. On investigation, after coordination with the inspectors and posts of Danapur division, their bodies were found near Bhadohra railway station.
8. 22 August 2024
> Jeevanathpur station master Virendra Kumar Verma was shot near the railway track near Mirzapur while returning home after completing his duty. The station master was referred to the trauma center in Varanasi after first aid.
9. 24 August 2024
> An unknown person placed stones on the railway track between Jawai Bandh and Biroliya in Ajmer district of Rajasthan.
10. 24 August 2024
> Once again, an unidentified person placed stones on the railway track between Jawai Dam and Biroli in Ajmer district of Rajasthan.
11. 23 August 2024
> A piece of wood was found lying on the track between Kaimganj-Shamsabad in Farrukhabad district of Uttar Pradesh.
12. 28 August 2024
> A freight train collided with a motorcycle chassis on the track between Chhabra Gugor and Bhulon in Baran district of Rajasthan. During investigation, the motorcycle chassis soaked in mud was recovered.
13. 30 August 2024
> An iron rod was found placed on the railway track between Lingampalli and Hafizpet stations in Rangareddy, Telangana.
14. 30 August 2024
> A total of 100 Pandrol clips were stolen from the railway track between Daltonganj and Kajri section of Palamu district of Jharkhand.
15. 30 August 2024
> A PSC sleeper placed near the down line track between Bilaspur-Surla Road stations in Sambalpur, Odisha slipped on the track due to the vibration of the train. The sleeper got entangled with the footboard of the train. The loco pilot stopped the train and instructed the field staff to remove the sleeper, after which the train moved forward.
16. 4 September 2024
> Bina-Gwalior passenger collided with a stone between Shivpuri-Padarkheda stations. After a joint inspection of the railway track, stone marks were found on both sides.
17. 4 September 2024
> A fouling mark stone was found on the track near Kurduvadi station yard in Solapur district of Maharashtra, due to which the tower wagon stopped on the track. Its length was 4 feet, width half feet and weight was about 80-90 kg.
18. 9 September 2024
> A conspiracy was hatched to derail the Kalindi Express by placing gas cylinders on the track between Baragpur and Uttaripura in Kanpur, UP. The driver stopped the train by applying brakes and informed the authorities about it. Glass bottles filled with petrol, matchsticks, gunpowder etc. have been found from the spot.
